DEL MAR ---- It's a first for car lovers.
The popular spring car show at the Del Mar Fairgrounds, the Goodguys Del Mar Nationals, is now making a fall pit stop at the venue as well.
The Goodguys 1st Fall Del Mar Nationals presented by Meguiar's happens Friday through Nov. 27, featuring hot rods and custom and classic cars. With more than 20 states represented at the event, some 1,500 cars will dot the scenic landscape of the fairgrounds, along with an automotive swap meet, vendors and numerous auto-themed activities.
More than 400 surf-friendly Woodies exhibited by San Diego Woodies are part of the four-wheeled menu. Expect deuce coupes, hot rod roadsters, lead-sled '50s Mercurys, '50s Chevys, Camaros, Hemi Barracudas and BOSS 409 Mustangs to attract onlookers.
The event is produced by the same group that presents a major car show every spring at the fairgrounds. The Nationals show has been making its way around the country, with Del Mar the final stop on this year's tour.
